Los Acantilados is a theatrical play written, directed, and co-starred by Argentine playwright Ignacio Apolo, recently awarded First Prize in the 2026 Playwriting Contest by the Fondo Nacional de las Artes.

The production officially premieres on October 4, 2026 at the iconic cultural venue El Excéntrico de la 18, located in the Villa Crespo neighborhood of Buenos Aires.

Set in Argentina during the 1980s, the story portrays a family shaken by dark secrets, abysses in collective memory, and truths that threaten to destroy everything. It explores deep ethical dilemmas regarding parental inheritance and the weight of confession.

This is the first installment of a trilogy paying tribute to playwright Henrik Ibsen, conceived for the bicentennial of his birth. It is sponsored by the Norwegian Embassy and features original music by Norwegian composer Gisle Kverndokk.

Cast and Crew: Ignacio Apolo shares the stage with Junior Pisanú and Viviana Represas. Set design and lighting are handled by Félix Padrón, and costume design is by Gabriella Gerdelics.
